AI Use Disclosure
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Fort Keeper AI sets up AI helpers for veterinary clinics. This page explains plainly what those helpers are and what they do.
The helpers are AI, not people
When a pet owner talks to one of our helpers, they are talking to an AI tool. It is not a veterinarian or a member of your clinic's staff.
Callers are told it's AI
At the start of a conversation, the AI helper tells the person that they are talking to an AI assistant.
Call recording
Calls handled by the helpers are recorded and used to train and improve our AI helpers. Callers are told at the start of the call that they are speaking with an AI assistant and that the call is recorded.
What the helpers do
- Answer common questions about clinic hours, services, and booking.
- Handle scheduling, so visits get onto the calendar.
- Work through paperwork and forms.
- Collect refill requests in one place for your team to review and fill.
What the helpers pass to your team
Anything medical or urgent is passed to your team. The helpers don't give medical advice. Medical questions, medications, and emergencies go to your veterinary staff.
Emergencies
If a situation can't wait, pet owners are told to contact an emergency vet.
Availability
The helpers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
After hours and on holidays, there is no live person. The helpers take a message for your team, and pet owners with an emergency are told to contact an emergency vet.
Your team stays in charge
Your team fills every refill request and makes the final decision on anything medical. You decide what the helpers handle.
AI can make mistakes
AI tools can sometimes give an incomplete or incorrect answer. That is one reason your team stays in charge and why medical questions are passed to your veterinary staff.
